Complaint on lack of safety in swimming complex
This is Jeannie, writing this letter to complain about my injured foot. I had suffered a nasty cut on my foot caused by the broken tile in the pool.
I went to Jurong East Swimming Complex last Sunday 11 April 2010, about 3.00pm. After 30 minutes in the pool, the incident happened. The wound was painless at that moment, then I saw blood flooding up the water, I then realised my foot was cut badly. I wore my goggles and look in the pool and saw the broken tile.
I quickly get up and went to the nearby clinic, the doctor said that it was very seriously injured, so he stitched my injured foot. The worst was that the blood I lose was about handful.
I think that the broken tile need to be fix as it is dangerous for other swimmers. There are many swimmer including children and elderly who are very poor in swimming. If they trip over the broken tile , they might drown as one of their foot is injured.
